Hi, I'm Sadie — a Front-End Web Developer currently based in the States! I'm a dreamer with a passion for helping people who enjoys incorporating my interests in psychology, art, and design with my coding skills.

My first experience with programming was when I was in third grade. We had an assignment to create our own Geocities site using some HTML. I would give so much to see my 3rd-grade ramblings and design choices.

Many years later, I'd revisit HTML and the "new" CSS when I went back to school, Tumblr and myspace notwithstanding. I was fresh out of college with a bachelor's in Psychology when I realized I wanted to do something art and psychology-related that allowed me the flexibility to travel. I took a course on web design and was hooked.

I finished my Master's with a specialization in Web Design and Online Communication. I went from coding my first website about my love for oatmeal in HTML and CSS to teaming with three other classmates to create a multipage website for a local business. We used WordPress, PHP, HTML, SCSS, designed pages using Adobe Photoshop and collaborated using Github. We even researched digital marketing strategies for the company to implement.

Since then, I refreshed my skills as well as learned Javascript and React by completing Skillcrush's Front-end Developer Bootcamp. After 9 weeks and 250+ applications, I landed my first role in tech a Front-end Web Developer at a federal agency!
